Gathering of The Clans
Before the dust settles on the Christmas Ball, we must pay a special mention to the organisers of the event; what a great evening, thoroughly enjoyed by all attending.
The AFVBC functions keep on rolling and to whet the appetite for 2024, we have the Burns Supper, an evening of verse and dance to celebrate and remember the life and works of the great Scottish Bard – Robert Burns.
The entertainment will be provided our very own Piper, Liv McLennan, accompanied by Wendy Mumford calling the dancing!
It has always been the intention to open this event up to the wider Salisbury community, which in turn, should help bolster and promote our Club within the local area. That said, it would be unfair for the Club to subsidise the event in any way, so all costs will be borne by those attending.
The White Hart have again surpassed themselves with a tasty looking menu, full of Scottish flavour; please select your choice as necessary and note you can have the Chicken without the Haggis.
Dress:
The dress for the event is formal with a strong hint of tartan. DJ/Suit for the Laddies and Long or Cocktail Dress for the Lassies. Miniature Medals at your preference.
Costs:
Food and Entertainment: £37.00 per head.
Wine Corkage:
Wine £8.00 per bottle. If you want to take up this offer, then please select this option, and pay the respective corkage charge when registering.
Accommodation:
The hotel has placed 10 double bedrooms on hold for this event at an exclusive rate of £98.00 per double, inclusive of breakfast. Please contact the White Hart Direct to reserve a room on 01722 327476.
Raffle:
Please bring some cash as it is the intention to raffle off some exciting raffle Prizes.
Parking:
If using the hotel car park please remember to register your car at the reception, if you don’t you may receive a hefty fine.
Seating:
A Seating Plan will be displayed at the entrance to the main function room. If you have a specific seating preference, please let me know by PM, and where possible, I will endeavour to accommodate.
Full timings and running order for the evening will be published closer to the event, but please plan for a 18:15hrs meet in the bar and be seated in the main function room by 19:00hrs. I have asked the White Hart to try and speed up the bar service at the beginning of the evening.
