STOP PRESS, THIS EVENT RAISED £1100 FOR THE ERSKINE TRUST TO BE PRESENTED BY CAMERON PURDON DATE TBC

I hope you’re all looking forward to an evening of Scottish verse and dance to celebrate and remember the life and works of the great Scottish Bard – Robert (Rabbie) Burns.

The entertainment will be provided our very own Piper, Liv McLennan, accompanied by Wendy Mumford calling the dancing, hopefully this time, with a louder microphone in hand. We also plan to have a Malt Whisky tasting session in the Hotel Reception area after the meal and before the dancing.

The White Hart have certainly surpassed themselves with a mouth-watering, full of Scottish flavour Menu; please select your choice as necessary and note you can have the Chicken without the Haggis.

We have been very fortunate to secure two sponsors for the event, which has significantly reduced the cost to those wishing to attend. A big thank you goes out to:

‘Glenkier Whiskies Ltd – who own the UK’s largest chain of Whisky Stores. ‘The Whisky Shop’, which has grown to over 22 branches nationwide. And,

Trethowans Solicitors – a leading law firm, with offices based in Salisbury and the South West.

The dress for the event is formal with a strong hint of tartan.  DJ/Suit for the Laddies and Long or Cocktail Dress for the Lassies. Miniature Medals at your preference.

Costs:

Food and Entertainment:  £35.00 per head.

Wine Corkage:   Wine £8.00 per bottle. If you want to take up this offer then please select this option and pay the corkage charge when registering.

Whisky/Atholl Brose: A bottle of Whisky for the toasts (generously supplied by Glenkier Whiskies Ltd) and a bottle of Atholl Brose will be placed on each table at no cost to those attending.

Accommodation: The hotel has placed 10 double bedrooms on hold for this event at an exclusive rate of £98.00 per double, inclusive of breakfast. Please contact the White Hart Direct to reserve a room on 01722 327476.

Raffle: Please bring some cash as it is the intention to raffle off some lovely bottles of Malt Whisky, with the proceeds going to the ‘Erskine Veterans Charity’, who have been caring for Scottish Veterans since 1916.

Parking:  If using the hotel car park please remember to register your car at the reception, if you don’t you may receive a hefty fine.

A Seating Plan will be displayed at the entrance to the main function room. If you have a specific seating preference, please let me know by PM, and where possible, I will endeavour to accommodate.

Full timings and running order for the evening will be published closer to the event, but please plan for a 18:15hrs meet in the bar and be seated in the main function room by 19:00hrs. I have asked the White Hart to try and speed up the bar service at the beginning of the evening.

For those wishing to attend please follow the link to register your commitment, select your menu choice and where possible, pay for the event at this time.
